About Technically Learning
We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington.
Technically Learning was founded over five years ago by a small group of friends tired of complaining about the lack of women and minorities in their fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The founders, most of whom are still board members, believed (and still do) that every student, regardless of their gender, race or socio-economic background, should have the opportunity in the STEM fields.
By improving the quality of STEM education through fun, exciting and engaging activities, projects and curriculum, we believe that more students will choose higher education and pursue careers in these fields.
We’ve seen it with our own eyes, too. There are few things as heartwarming as watching a child become so excited by our programs that they can’t wait until the next science or math class. Teachers who use our curriculum regularly find science goes from being one of their students least favorite class to the highest-rated class of the day.
Teachers are the crucial element that can determine the quality of public school education. We provide the training, technology, resources and support for teachers to use our programs at no cost to those teachers. In addition, teachers also gain continuing education clock hours by learning to use our curriculum.
Our aim is to help inspire more students to engage in a lifetime of learning and obtain the foundation necessary for future success in whatever field they choose. Click here to read more...
